How We Met – A Love Written in Prayer

If someone had told me back in high school that the one, I thought a bit aloof, observant boy in the corner would one day become the love of my life, I probably would have laughed at the idea—because, funny enough, we didn’t really know each other until our last year.

We were schoolmates, yes—but we only truly met as classmates in our fourth year. To him, I was just a new face, someone he thought had transferred schools. What I didn’t know then was that, before that school year began, he had whispered a prayer—a sincere, quiet prayer—for a girl like Maria Clara: graceful, kind-hearted, someone traditional yet strong. That was what his heart longed for.
